My name is Christina and I’m a devoted wife and mother. It’s such an amazing adventure being a wife and mother, every day is full of unexpected surprises.
Ever since I was a just a kid, I’ve always enjoyed arts and crafts. I took up sewing at the age of twelve and pretty much haven’t stopped much since. I remember the first sewing machine I had, it was a beginner singer. Yeah, it didn’t last long, I soon wanted to sew things that were more difficult then that sewing machine was capable of. Poor thing didn’t stand a chance against me. 🙂
Well, having no sewing machine didn’t stop me. I soon developed the skill of, dare I say it, old-fashioned hand sewing. I used to sew the funkiest little purses out of old jeans, t-shirts, pillow cases, scrap fabric my mom had, pretty much anything I could get my hands on.
Unfortunately, the drama of life, and being a rebellious teenager, dulled my sewing attraction for a while. It wasn’t until I’d been married and became a stay at home mom, that perked my sewing abilities again. You see, I wanted to sew my little girl a dress, lol. Which prompted my Mother-in-law to graciously give me an old sewing machine she had sitting around. Thankfully, I’m a very fast learner, and it doesn’t hurt that I inherited some pretty good mechanical skills, sooo, I was able to reconnect with my new/old sewing machine, and whip up a cute dress! Of corse I had/have many trial and errors, but my work has become skilled enough to make great quality items.
I’ve created this blog because it’s great opportunity to not only share with you all the things I make, but also to promote my etsy shop. My goal is to make great quality items and sell them for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, this can be so hard to come by these days. And as a mom, I’m always looking to save, so I figured I’d try and help others save too. I know that sounds cheesy, but it’s true.
Well, that about sums it up, thanks for reading, and I hope you’ve found this blurb about me informative and entertaining.
XO Christina G.
