New Summer Dresses for Bella

Over the past few days I’ve been sewing like crazy, I decided to make Bella some spring/summer dresses! They came out so good, in all honesty, I’ve had a few people ask me where I bought them. In which I replied with, of corse, I made them! Haha Bella is a great little model too! Such a proud momma I am, although, my little girl dresses better than me! 😉 What makes it even better, is that Bella gets super excited when I make her a new dress. She puts it on and twirls around in a big circle saying, “look mommy, look so pretty!” Hee hee so adorable!

This is a tunic dress pattern I used from the book, “One Yard Wonders” there’s a link there to it on Amazon!

I ended up having to shorten the elastic in the band in the back. Bella is so thin, that the length of the elastic the pattern calls for, well I had to cut it almost in half. Thankfully, it didn’t end up looking like a bunched up mess. IMG_0360

This one is my favorite, aside from her incredibly, adorable, cheesy grin, I actually made this one without a pattern. It took some time getting the measurements right and all that, but in the end it was well worth it! It’s just your classic little girl dress, or that’s what I call it. Also, not sure if you recognize the fabric, but I used this in a wallet and purse I made. Here is a blog link to see the wallet, I guess I never took a photo of the purse, so I posted a photo of it at the end of this blog…“My First Vinyl Women’s Wallet”.

I know it’s grainy, but I put a loop and button closure on the top of it. This is the first time I’ve ever incorporated this in a dress. Makes it easy to pull on and off with out killing  your self haha ;).

Here is the purse I made, it’s actually a clutch sized messenger bag. I thought I blogged about it in the past but I must not have, hmm if you find it let me know!

Well that’s it for today, thanks for reading.

Fluer De Lis Pillows and Spring Allergies

Hi again, of corse, I have been going crazy over these pillow covers. I finished a couple more sets, this time hand-painted/stenciled a fluer de lis on one. It’s so pretty, funny though, I never really knew what this particular design was called. I actually had to look it up online in order for me to describe the pillows in my etsy shop lol. 🙂

Ugh, my allergies have been going crazy with this weather, ick. Pennsylvania weather is so odd, one day it’s 30° the next it’s 60°. Sheesh, no wonder I sound like a frog right now, supposedly the weather is looking warmer now. I’m just praying it stays this way, no more cold!!

Anyway, off to bed I go, thanks for reading, and have an awesome day!

New Project FINALLY finished!

Hi there, so a couple posts back I told you guys about a “secret” project I was working on. Well I have finally finished it and can share it with you. Well, it’s more like, new items I’ve been working on for my shop. They are, dun da da dunnnn…pillow covers!

So all of the pillow covers I have hand painted, and/or stenciled. I actually made most of the stencils from hand and painted them on the pillows with acrylic craft paint. So yea, I guess it isn’t that exciting, but I’m super excited about it.

The story behind this idea of mine is actually partially from my mother-in-law. I have made her a a few pillow cover in the past, which I blogged about, here are a couple  links, A bathtub and Pillows, Cushion Covers with a Zipper, Car Troubles and a Job Finished. Anyway, since I’ve made her pillows, she has been spreading the word to her friends and family, in which has landed me quite a few custom orders. My MIL refers to me as the “bag lady” and “pillow Queen” lol. So it kinda stuck with me, hence the new pillow cover idea for my shop.

Yup, so that’s it, hope you enjoyed this blog post, and hope your having an amazing tuesday!

Here a few pics of some of the pillow covers I’ve made, and here is a link to the rest of the Pillow Covers in my shop. Thanks for reading!!!

Flip Flop Beach Bag

Hello again, first, let me apologize for being absent for a while. I have been battling a really bad cough/sinus infection. And unfortunately, the antibiotic my doctor prescribed, caused me to have a sever allergic reaction, which landed me in the hospital.  😦 Thankfully, they were able to catch it in time before anything super serious happened. A short while after this, my little one caught a stomach bug…ICK. I now know what it’s like to deal with projectile vomiting, not fun.

Anyway, aside from all that drama, things are getting back to normal. I was finally able to sit down and finish this beach bag, and get it uploaded into my shop. I hope you like it, and let me know what you think!!

Thanks for reading and I hope your thursday is going great!!

Flip Flop Beach Bag

Another Lazy Day and Bag…

The overcast skies and rainy day presumes to make this day very gloomy. In result, we are forced to stay indoors, in which my Bella is absolutely bored out of her mind…mommy too. 😦 Thankfully, I’m able to sew to keep my spirits up, and of corse, watching cartoons and movies with little miss, which results in lots of cuddle time with mommy!!

Aside from that, I was able to sew another Lazy bag, this one is available in my shop. I know, me and my Tye Die, hopefully someone else out there enjoys tie dye as much as I do…lol.

Hope your having a wonderful day!!
