Making a Quilt for my bed!

Hello, hope your Wednesday is going good! So I’ve been on an interesting adventure, I’ve finally decided to make a quilt for my queen sized bed! I know I know, I’ve told you I really don’t enjoy quilting, but since I’ve done the “quilt-as-you-go” method on my placemats, which I will post pictures of the finished table set, I’ve had a whole new light on quilting. Granted, the quilt I wanted to make for my bed isn’t a “quilt-as-you-go” method, but I’m actually having fun! HA who knew that I would learn to love to quilt. I will probably never end up selling them, just making them for myself or for gifts. There are too many quilters out there to compete with, plus I need to brush up on my skills a bit!!! u like

Anyway, on the quilt I still need to add another border for it to fit my bed properly, then add the backing and batting. But I could wait to take a picture when  it was done lol. I’m so impatient at times, and anxious to share it with you!

Well, hope you like it so far, let me know what you think! Thanks for reading, and have an awesome “hump” day.

P.S. I just pinned my quilt to the top of my front doorway lol, I didn’t really know how else to take a good picture of it. So as always, please forgive my photography!

Too long of a day!

Hi there, first things first, I want to apologize for not blogging the past couple days. My little one has been battling a high fever and illness, so I’ve been a bit preoccupied. I can’t even begin to express how tired I’ve been..so you’ll have to forgive me when I tell you I haven’t been able to accomplish much lately. Thankfully, she is feeling a bit better today, still a little feverish, but better.

I wanted to share a few things with you today. I ordered some really cool fabrics, that I got for an amazing deal, and they came in the mail yesterday!! Here they are:

Of corse one of them is tie dye lol, my favorite! I got these to make a different kind of handbag, that I will be working on as soon as I have finished making the Gerda Clutch’s, and have them uploaded in my shop.

A few days ago I had finished a couple more clutches, I just didn’t have time to upload them. However, she is taking a nap now, so I have a little bit of time on my hands to catch up on a few things. Hope you like them, the fabric is a little loud in the second one, but then again, being colorful is my thing! 😉

Hope you enjoyed this post, don’t be alarmed if I don’t blog for a couple days, still trying nurse my little one back to health. Now I’m off to take a cat nap before she wakes up!

Tie Dye Lazy Bag

Ok so I’m not sure if I told you this but, I have a serious obsession with tie dye. It doesn’t matter what kind it is, or what it’s on, I just love it. I remember being in high school year book class, and trying to convince the entire class to go with a tie dye cover for the year book. Lol, yeah, that didn’t go so well. They kept saying I was stuck in the 70’s, even though I wasn’t even born in the 70’s. 🙂

Anyway, a really good friend on mine, that I’ve know since age 5, also shares this obsession. So, as an I’m missing you/thinking of you gift, I made her a bag out of this awesome tie dye fabric I’ve been saving.

Aren’t the colors so beautiful and vibrant!!! Thankfully I have almost two more yards of this fabric left, so I will probably be making myself one also. Oh, and sorry  the interior  photo didn’t turn out better, the wind is blowing like something fierce today.

Hope your having an awesome thursday, TTFN
