New Machine

Good morning, hope your having a wonderful Sunday. So I received my new sewing machine a few days ago!!! She is so beautiful, and so many accessories came with it. I’m still in utter amazement of how many different things it does. It comes with a walking foot for quilting or sewing many layers, a free motion foot, an extended table, and a quilting guide. All those items are “bonus features”. But enough of this I’ll just have to show you the pictures!!

Right to left: Quilter guide, Walking foot, Free motion foot.

As you can see, I was playing around with the different types of stitches, and free motion foot. Hence Bella’s name in the center of this last photo, I know it’s not very good, but I was just playing around with it. Seriously, I am in love with this machine, I’m soo happy with it’s performance so far, and I can’t wait to see what else it can do.

Talk to you all again very soon,

Gettin there…

Ok so I have managed to make a few more of those rectangle cosmetic bags, a large tote bag, and another beach bag. Wheew…I am beat, and this 100〫heat index is really taking a toll on me. My poor two year old, all she wants to do is play outside. It’s real fun trying to explain to her that at certain times of the day she has to stay inside so her skin doesn’t get “boo-boo’s”. 😦 Poor baby, thankfully, my in-laws are getting a pool installed soon so we will be able to enjoy this hot weather and stay cool.

Well, hate to keep doing this to you, but I must get back to work. Little miss went down for a nap finally, so that’s my cue to get back to work.

Hope you enjoyed this little blurb today, have an awesome day!!

p.s. I didn’t take photos of the cosmetic bags…honestly I forgot, and sorry, the photos aren’t as good a quality as could be, didn’t really have extra time to position them properly.

Cute little Change purse!!

Hello again, so I have some exciting news. For the first time ever, I am going to be a vendor in a local craft show this September. I’m so stoked and I definitely have my work cut out for me. In the process of planning for this event, I have decided to make a “plethora” of tiny change purses, amongst other things.

I hand quilted the fabrics together, 🙂 and I’m so pleased at how that came out. Although, I still have some perfecting to do on it, but this is the first one. Usually it takes me a couple times to get it just right.

Anyway, I hope your having a wonderful day.

Flip Flop Beach Bag

Hello again, first, let me apologize for being absent for a while. I have been battling a really bad cough/sinus infection. And unfortunately, the antibiotic my doctor prescribed, caused me to have a sever allergic reaction, which landed me in the hospital.  😦 Thankfully, they were able to catch it in time before anything super serious happened. A short while after this, my little one caught a stomach bug…ICK. I now know what it’s like to deal with projectile vomiting, not fun.

Anyway, aside from all that drama, things are getting back to normal. I was finally able to sit down and finish this beach bag, and get it uploaded into my shop. I hope you like it, and let me know what you think!!

Thanks for reading and I hope your thursday is going great!!

The Last Annabelle Bag

Good afternoon, I hope this friday has been good to you. I have finished making the last Annabelle bag, for the shop in Florida. Now I just have to come up with another bag design with three more purses and then I will be set!! I might just make three totally different purses so that there is more of a variety!

Well I hope you all have a very blessed, and absolutely wonderful day! I’m off to take a nap with my little one. 🙂 Nothing like cuddling together, on mommy’s big bed, for a nice long nap. Hee hee,  yes I spoil her so much. But hey she’s gonna grow too fast and then I won’t get the chance to do this anymore.

Thanks for reading, talk to you all again soon!

My First Zippered Purse!!

Hello, I’m proud to report that I have finally made my first zippered purse. Honestly, I thought it was going to be very difficult, but it turned out to be pretty simple. If you notice, the pocket on the front right can be used as a cell phone pocket. It has a small piece of elastic in it to help hold the phone in better. 🙂 The pocket on the left is large enough to fit an ipod touch or whatever else you’d like. I used left over Amy butler fabric I had, I love amy butler, her fabrics are always so beautiful. So yeah, there she is, I think I’ll call her Samantha…what do you think?

Zebra Annabelle bag

Hi again, I finished yet another Annabelle bag, this one has a removable faux leather strap, and I added a pocket inside. This one by far is my favorite one!!! I didn’t tell you guys, but I’m making theses handbags for a shop in florida. I’m going there to visit family in may and a friend of the family owns a shop on Venice island. So she is being gracious enough to display some of my items in it…..I’m so excited!! Anyway, sorry this post is so short, got a lot of sewing to do still.
