Exciting news!!!

Hello there, so I have some very big and exciting news to share with you all. After a long 9 months, we are pregnant!! The baby is due in January, and we are just so overwhelmed with joy. My daughter Bella, who is 5 now, is soo excited to be a big sister, it’s the highlight of most of her conversations. Haha, I think every cashier, restaurant, bank teller, etc, that we go to, knows that she’s going to be a big sister. Or as she puts it, “there’s a baby in my mommies tummy, I’m a big sister!”. We won’t know what the baby is until September sometime, in which by then you will start to see all the knew baby projects I’ll be sewing up. I can’t wait to start making a layette…along with many other things ;).

Well, that’s it for now, more pics and projects to come. Hope your having a great day, talk again soon!

Over night bag for Bella

Hello again, as you know we are leaving for vacation in a few days…WOOHOO!! And as I was gathering suitcases, I realized that my daughter Bella doesn’t have one. So what better excuse then to make her a travel bag! Hee hee, I made the same type of bag in my previous post “Over Night Bag”. Except, I made it with left over fabric I’ve been saving from the Layette I made for Bella’s crib. I made the top of this one a little taller then the previous one. ¬†This way, I can pack a few more things in it!! You can never pack enough clothes for a 2 year old, especially when an outfit change is expected to be at least twice a day. ūüôā

Well I hope your saturday is going great.

Dust Ruffle Finally Finished

Hey guys, sorry it’s taken me a little while to get this done. This dust ruffle turned out to be quite a difficult project. I must have gone through a spool and a half of thread. For some reason the thread kept bunching on me…then about 3/4 the way ¬†done, I realized I needed a heaver needle. lol oh well, you live and you learn. Anyways, it’s finished….whew turned out pretty good too. Hope you like it.

Oh and I used some scrap fabric for the center…I didn’t see the need to go out and buy a fabric that “matched”, it isn’t going to be seen anyway!!

Finished bumper….

Hello, how is your day going? Mine…so far so good, got Bella’s bumper finished last night. WOOHOO, it turned out great. You know, I’m thinking about making a boys themed layette and uploading it to my shop. I figured, if it doesn’t sell, I could use it for a baby boy for myself. That is, if we get lucky enough with a boy someday, hee hee. Anyway, back to business, I have a picture for you of the finished bumper. The picture, however, isn’t the best quality. Usually, I go outside to take my pictures for better lighting. Unfortunately, it’s rainy and yucky out today, so I had to resort to staying inside.

Now on to making her quilt..eek I am soo anxious about this. I have never made a quilt before, so I’m just praying it turns out perfect. Thankfully, I have a pattern to go by, but still, that doesn’t make my nerves go down any less. Crossing my fingers, wish me luck.

So I won’t leave you all in suspense any longer, here is the view of the bumper. Hope you like it!!

Have an awesome day guys!!!
